client criteria:           

add another level to expansive 50’s era bungalow to accommodate a parent bedroom with walk in closet and bathroom and child play and study area.

 

design strategy:       

intro new stairwell at existing living room, create light well to infuse with natural light; add an upper level that ‘floats’ seamlessly; massing of form to the rear;  capture harbour views from new level.
